Can you modify a sim card from Tracfone?
I recently got a new phone and needed to unlock it, got it done, (thanks Laladida) well the sim card that I wanted to use won’t work in it. It’s not a full GSM card. it’s a gsm sim card with cda. whatever that is. well is there any software or anything that i can do to modify the sim card so that i am able to use it in my new unlocked phone. It’s a Tracfone sim card. need any other info??

a gsm phone doesnt work with a cdma phone. they’re diffrent technologies.
tracfone has a weird setup to their phones. the sim card for the tracfone doesnt work like a regular sim card. tracfones have the prepaid software installed in the phone itself not the sim card. the sim card on a tracfone serves no visible purpose but without it the phone wont work. the sim card on a tracfone is also locked into a specific phone meaning the sim card doesnt work with other phones unless its the one that it came with. the tracfone phone cant be unlocked because its locked into the network by codes and software. to make a tracfone work with another carrier you need to install new softoware.
so to answer your question you cant do anything with tracfone equipment.
